Health and Science

Brief
People living with chronic kidney disease are often represented through clinical imagery that focuses on illness rather than everyday life. Inspired by a 2022 Clover Health Magazine article, this personal project explores a more human-centered approach to health communication. The objective was to create an editorial illustration that highlights how healthy habits and lifestyle choices can support wellbeing while living with a chronic condition.
Concept
Instead of illustrating kidneys as anatomical organs, I transformed them into a living landscape. Roads become pathways of daily routines, waterways suggest the body's natural balance, while people move through the environment as they would through everyday life. The illustration shifts the focus from disease to possibility, inviting viewers to see health as something built through small, consistent actions.
